Bus Nut
Synopsis
Bus Nut re-stages the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott as an 1980s educational school bus safety film. An actress performs both Rosa Parks and a child navigating instructional routines, as archival press conference audio accompanies the staged scenes. Through reenactment and citation, the film interrogates how Black resistance is taught, commodified, and repurposed in American history.
